Arctic Circle Race 2009 will start Saturday morning at 9 AM.

The skiers will have to leave Sisimiut one hour earlier than normal. They will also have to hand in luggage earlier than expected. They have to do this between 6.30 and 8.00 AM. Afterwards they have to register between 8.00 and 8.45, before the Mayor of Qeqqata will start the race at 9 AM.

The point of no return which the skiers will have to pass before the schedule to continue the race is expected to be K6 for the skiers racing the long distance and K5 for those racing the shorter distance. The skiers have to be at those two points of no return on Saturday no later than 5 PM. Otherwise they will de driven to the camp and will not get a time for the first stage of Arctic Circle Race 2009.
