Mette Steenholdt, 168

Participating in the ACR for the fifth time.

The first time in 2011 where I started out with 160 and went down to 100, day 2 and reached the finish line after 130 kilometers.

In 2012 I completed 160 km. A good run, it was hard but I was happy.

In 2013, I rushed day 2 on top of a mountain and was forced to go out. It was hard.

In 2014 I had a fantastic race. Day 2 after 10km I had an old injury that broke up. Got medicine and race day 3, but not a full 160 km.

This year, I am here to run 160. I've just been to VASA loppet of 90 km in Sweden for less than 2 weeks ago.

Mette does not expect medals in ACR this year, but hoping for a good run.

After the first year I thought 'never again'. Now I love cross-country skiing.

I come back next year if it is okay with my family, ending a tense Mette steenholdt.

Mette's favorite quote by T. S. Eliot:

”Only those who will risk going to far

can possible find out how far they can go”
